Who it’s for
A family jeweller and the customers who buy from them.
Shops, friends and play · live
For a family jeweller and the people who buy from them. Customers had to ask the shop for the day’s gold and silver rate. Now the shop types it in once, and it’s on every customer’s phone.
Sample shop, sample rates. The real app reads them live from the shop’s Firebase database.
In the real app this opens WhatsApp with the message filled in. Here nothing is sent anywhere.
The real app opens Google Maps at the shop. This map is drawn for the page.
A pretend login, filled in for you. The real one is the shop’s own account.
Are you sure you want to publish these prices?
A simulation with a made-up shop and made-up rates, not the app itself. The real app is Flutter on a phone, with Firebase keeping both screens in step. Arrow keys nudge a rate by ₹10 (Shift: ₹100).
Four parts, plainly.
A family jeweller and the customers who buy from them.
Customers had to ask the shop for the day’s gold and silver rate.
A phone app where customers see the current gold and silver rates, up or down arrows and 7, 30 or 90-day history charts, with one tap to message the shop or find it on a map. The shop signs in to update the day’s rates and correct past entries.
Live, for the shop it was built for; a public repository, built with Flutter and Firebase, with an Android build documented.
What it doesn’t do yet.
Honest line: the jeweller’s name, number and prices are left off this page on purpose.
