Who it’s for
Someone near the end of a long web form when the page reloads.
On the desktop · it’s out
For someone near the end of a long web form when the page reloads. Until now, they typed every answer again from the start. DraftBack keeps the answers on their device, and gives them back.
Click the DraftBack icon at the top right of the browser, then Protect this site.
A made-up library and form. Please use made-up answers too.
Only on this site. You can stop it any time from the DraftBack menu.
Your unfinished form
Turn on protection, then fill the form normally. No profile needed.
In the real extension, answers are encrypted on this device for 24 hours. Here they live only in this page’s memory and vanish when you leave.
A simulation with a made-up form, not the extension itself. Nothing is saved to your device and nothing is submitted. The browser, the permission prompt and the reload are imitations.
One unhappy moment, and a small way out of it.
Someone near the end of a long web form when the page reloads.
They typed every answer again from the start.
A browser extension that saves supported form answers on your device as you type, on sites you choose to protect. After a reload you click Restore my answers, check them, and carry on. Nothing is submitted for you.
It’s out: version 0.7.1, App 02 of 30. Free and open source (MIT) for Chromium browsers 120 or newer, installed as an unpacked extension from a ZIP, not from a browser store.
What it can’t do yet, in plain words.
Honest line: this is draft recovery, not autofill. You still type everything once; it just saves you typing it twice. It has passed its own regression tests, which is not the same as a success rate on every real portal.
