Who it’s for
Someone who copies and pastes all day on a Mac.

For someone who copies and pastes all day on a Mac. They lost the previous copy, fixed pasted formatting by hand, and left copied secrets sitting in their history. Clippy is Maccy’s clipboard history with a few things I added on top.
Sample snippets and a fake key, made up for this page. A browser simulation, not the real app. The Copy buttons don’t touch your real clipboard. The popup, search, pins and keyboard flow are Maccy’s; Paste As, type: filters, the searchable capture and the expiring key are added in Clippy. Here the key expires in 20 seconds instead of two minutes.
Who it’s for, and what I added.
Someone who copies and pastes all day on a Mac.
They lost the previous copy, fixed pasted formatting by hand, and left copied secrets sitting in their history.
A searchable clipboard history built on Maccy, with added paste-as options (lowercase, trimmed, or tracking codes removed, for example), type: search filters, and screen captures you can search by the text inside them. Copied keys and tokens are wiped from history and the clipboard after two minutes.
Live and public (MIT) for macOS 14 or newer. There’s no ready-made download yet; you build it from source in Xcode.
What’s missing, said plainly.
Built on Maccy. Clippy is a fork of Maccy by Alexey Rodionov, released under the MIT licence. The clipboard manager itself is his work: the history, the popup, search, pins and the keyboard flow. Mine are the additions described on this page.
Honest line: everything above runs in this page with made-up snippets. The real Clippy watches the Mac clipboard on your device; it has no network calls, analytics or accounts.
